For Fallon (Chicago Syndicate #1) by Soraya Naomi

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

*4.5 INTENSE MAFIA ROMANCE STARS!*

I have always loved Soraya’s reviews, Most things she would say I agreed with and the same with her ratings! As soon as I found out Soraya was writing a series I was ecstatic, I knew it would be unique and cleverly done.. I wasn’t disappointed!

Love makes our faces smile, our eyes light up, our hearts glow, and our body fiery. Love makes our faces frown, our eyes cry, our heart blacken, our body ache.

I love Mafia romances, they always feel more intense than other romance books. Lately I haven’t been able to find any or the ones I have been reading just haven’t been all that great. What made this stand out to the others was the fact Fallon and Luca (MC’s) was just fantastic. Normally I prefer one of the characters POV to the others but with this I loved them both just as much. I thought the romance and action was weighed out well, the first half we had the romance and the second half the action although the romance was still there.

“While I immensely enjoyed your seduction skills, I prefer my women more naturel. Your luscious lips don’t need a fiery red lipstick, Fallon.”

The beginning was a slow build but I’m glad it was like that and we got to find out more about Luca’s past otherwise I would of been pretty confused with the second half. I felt the writing flowed well and I never got confused with what was happening seeing as it was fast paced and so much going on.

Fallon I found her refreshing and never annoying or sulky. She gets thrown into this crazy rollercoaster ride which at times was terrifying for her and yes she acted scared but she had every right to be. I loved her scenes with Luca they was beautiful together, I wouldn’t say how they got together was angsty or crazy slow but I definitely wouldn’t say it was insta love either. I actually found their relationship very realistic and glad we had not much angst in the first half seeing as the second half was very angsty but more to do with the action rather than the love although you wonder how they will be able to make it as a couple after everything that happens.

Luca Oh my I am in love with Luca he was charming and absolutely adored Fallon but he was brooding and intense. Who doesn’t want a guy that wears a suit and a gun.. My my ;)! My heart actually broke for him in the end because his life is the Mafia once you end up in that world the only way you can get out is if your dead. He loves Fallon and knows she doesn’t deserve that life but can he let her go?

Redemption is not meant for men like me. Only a constant stream of retribution is what lies in my future.

We had some very tasty steamy scenes but it was the perfect amount I find books are getting too much and its more steam than story whereas Soraya worked them in perfectly.

With the action I’m not going to say much as a lot happens and if you love an intense read where it makes you not want to put it down just in case something bad or heart shattering is going to happen then this is perfect for you. The ending is left on a cliffy.. sneaky sneaky! I’m dying to know what will happen. I also loved Camilla and Adriano, hoping they have their hea as well!

Never will we go back to just being Luca and Fallon.

I am routing for this couple they are perfect together. Please, please let there be a happy ending!!!

“Ti amo solo tu, dolcezza.”

You know you have read a book that is perfect for you when you highlight so much that you don’t know which ones to put on your review!
